Elibet Caballero is an Associate at Simon Trial Firm, where she brings her years of experience as a litigation attorney in the representation of our clients. She is an experienced trial attorney who has handled both criminal and civil matters.
Ms. Caballero began her career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami Dade County, where she handled hundreds of cases from inception to resolution. While working for the Public Defender's Office, she litigated dozens of motions and tried over 20 jury trials to verdict, ranging from misdemeanors to the most serious first degree and life felonies. In the private sector, Ms. Caballero has handled an array of general liability cases, including both personal injury and property damage. Currently, her practice focuses in representing victims of serious and catastrophic injuries resulting from automobile accidents, slip and falls, negligent security, and products liability.
Ms. Caballero graduated from Emory University School of Law, where she served as the Director of Special Teams for Emory's Moot Court Society and was awarded top brief and top oralist honors in the Super Regional Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Ms. Caballero also interned for the Georgia Legal Services program, where she researched and wrote analysis of various legal issues, including immigration reform and education discrimination. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago with a double concentration in Political Science and English Literature.
